We've had not one but two recent group parties for our kids in Maryland and Florida!
Crochet for Smiles
Casey Cares and Crochet for Smiles teamed up to host two evening crochet classes for Casey Cares critically ill children. Ami Raithatha from Maryland's Crochet for Smiles provided families with needles and kits and teach them how to crochet while volunteer Hope taught kids how to crochet. The nonprofit is a dedicated community of crochet enthusiasts who believe in the power of creativity and kindness. In attendance was Casey Cares kid Hala and her sister Jenna who made crochet necklaces!
Crucial Catch Night
The Jacksonville Jaguars partnered with various nonprofits to host Crucial Catch Night for more than 135 members affected by cancer in the Jacksonville community. The Jaguars Foundation rented out Main Event Bowling to provide a fun night of bowling, arcade games, and laser tag alongside Jaguar players. Nights like these are extra special for these children to enjoy an unforgettable experience outside of harsh treatments and numerous doctor visits like Mila, who is undergoing treatment after a recurrence of osteosarcoma.
Her mother, Jenna, said, "We had such an amazing time and are so grateful to have the opportunity to just disconnect from the daily stress, have fun and 'make memories'!"
Thank you to all supporters and donors of Casey Cares who help lift the spirits of our critically ill children! Find out how your organization can host a group party for our families! Contact Erin Ritter at 443-568-0064 or send her an email.
